It dims from a dimmer ready on the wall. Two finishes let you tune it to the palette you already have.

The Design Story

The house behind this lamp is one of the oldest names in American lighting. Nova began in Brooklyn in 1923, moved its design voice west to California, and still builds around woodworking and craft.

Why You’ll Love It

It reads as furniture, not hardware. Built from wood and wood, lucite, it has the weight a thin fixture lacks. It measures 4 in tall, 13.8 in wide, and 13.8 in deep, so the scale is easy to plan around. The light is warm and even: 1500 lumens of 3500K-6500K warm light, CRI 90+, so wood, fabric and skin tones look right. Choose your finish: shade in dark walnut and natural wood.

Made for Real Life

Day to day it is easy. It attaches to a standard ceiling junction box; a licensed electrician can hang it if you prefer. Dust it with a dry cloth, keep harsh cleaners away, and use a dimmable, flicker-free LED if you dim it, as Nova recommends.

Curious how the finishes and materials compare? Finishes explained and what your lamp is made of cover it.

LED vs. Incandescent

A bulb’s brightness is its lumen count, and its wattage is only the electricity it uses. Here that means 1500 lumens from a 18W LED, the same punch as an old 150W incandescent, without the heat. Incandescents read a touch warmer and softer, but they run hot and burn out faster. Switching later is easy: keep the same base, and choose a dimmable, flicker-free LED rated 3500K-6500K. Want a quick reference?
