Davey Lighting began in the shipyards of nineteenth-century London; Original BTC took it on in 2010 to keep it making by hand in England, using techniques some of which date back to London’s East India Docks in the 1880s.

Why You’ll Love It

It is tough enough for the outdoors and handsome enough for a hallway. These are working lights with a past: honest materials, real ratings for weather, and finishes that look better with age.

Made for Real Life

Set it on a table or hang it from a hook; it goes wherever its cord reaches. Wipe it down with a soft cloth and skip the metal polish: weathered, raw and galvanised finishes are meant to look lived-in. Near the sea, rinse off salt now and then with fresh water.

Product Details

Product

Ship’s Well Glass Table Lamp

Maker

Original BTC, Oxfordshire, England

Light type

Portable table lamp

Made from

Weathered brass with frosted glass; cotton braided cable

Size

W 15 × H 37 cm (W 6" × H 14.5")

Weight

0.6 kg (1.4 lb)

Bulb / light

E26 socket, max 40W

Dims

No

Voltage

120V AC

Where it can go

IP20; indoor use

Safety listing

UL listed

Original BTC item no.

BT-DP7523/BR/WE/FR

Where It Shines

It looks at home on a table, hung from a hook or carried out to the shed.
