It comes in Nightshade Black, Polished Nickel or Natural Brass.

The Design Story

Designer Sean Lavin. Photo from Visual Comfort.

Visual Comfort describes the Ponte task sconce as minimal in scale yet significant in function. The head pivots to direct the light exactly where it is needed, which suits a bedroom, an office or anywhere you need added light, and an integrated multi-touch dimmer sets the level for the mood or the task. The Medium adds a second arm segment for more reach.

Why You'll Love It

Ponte Medium is the long-reach size: the arm has an elbow that pivots 330 degrees, so the head can sit 22.6 inches out from the wall over a bed or a desk, or fold up and back. The head pivots 165 degrees to aim the light. It gives 370 lumens at 3000K and 90 CRI on 8.4 watts, and the push switch in the fixture steps through four dimming levels.

Built for Damp Locations

Ponte Medium is ETL listed, and Visual Comfort rates it for indoor damp locations and outdoor spaces under cover, such as a covered porch. The LED is rated L70 over 50,000 hours, it runs on universal 120V to 277V, and it carries a 5-year warranty. Visual Comfort lists a California Proposition 65 warning for the Natural Brass finish: it can expose you to chemicals including lead, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm (P65Warnings.ca.gov).

Product Details

<th It gives 370 lumens, so it is a task light, not a room light. It mounts down only and is hardwired, so it needs a junction box on the wall.

Questions We Hear Most

How far does the Ponte Medium Task Sconce reach?

With the arm fully extended it reaches 22.6 inches from the wall.
