A slim 49-inch stem rises from a round weighted base and ends in a flat disc head that glows downward and soft. Charge it over USB-C, set it where the light is needed, and move it again tomorrow. It is wet rated, so the terrace, covered patio and living room are all fair game.

The Design Story

Sean Lavin draws lighting the way an architect draws a doorway: as little as possible, in exactly the right place. Moneta pares a floor lamp down to three honest parts, a base, a stem and a disc. The disc is the whole idea. It reads as a graphic circle by day and, once lit, as a calm pool of warm light with no visible bulb and no glare. Because the lamp is cordless, the line of the stem is never interrupted by a cable run to the wall.

Why You'll Love It

Truly cordless. A built-in rechargeable battery means no outlet needed where the lamp stands.

Touch dimming. Tap the disc head to switch on and step through brightness levels.

Warm, glare-free light. Integrated LED with a warm white glow, about 238 lumens.

Three finishes. Black, Matte White or Hand-Rubbed Antique Brass, each with a matching USB-C cable.

Light footprint. Only about 3 lbs, so it moves from room to room with one hand.

Made for Real Life

Moneta Medium is rated for full outdoor weather, so rain on the terrace or humidity by the pool will not slow it down.
