It stands 8.8 inches tall with a 7 inch shade, and it charges over USB C, so it sits on a table with no cord to hide.

It lasts up to 12 to 14 hours on a full battery and dims in three steps with a touch. Photo from Visual Comfort.

Sean Lavin designs lighting by working with light, form and material, drawing on art, architecture, travel and technology. Louver is built around a small trick of light. Visual Comfort describes metal columns with a slight interruption of light, so the column appears to pass straight through the shade. The slit under the dome gives the lamp its name and its character: a solid object that seems to glow along one clean line.

Why You'll Love It

Louver 9 is the lamp for people who like their lighting graphic and low. Its squat shape sits under a window, along a shelf or at a bar and leaves sightlines open. The light shines from the slit under the dome and falls in a soft ring on the surface around it, so the table glows without the bulb ever showing. A touch steps through bright, soft and low, and the 2700K light at 90 CRI keeps the color of the room natural. A USB C cable and a wall charger come in the box, so you can charge it the day it arrives.

Made for Real Life

The lamp is made of aluminum and brass and weighs 4 lbs, so the wide dome has a steady footing.
