It was designed in 2015 for Penta by Carlo Colombo.

The table lamp comes in 3 finishes: Natural Oak, Anthracite Oak and White Carrara Marble, with a choice of 3000K or 2700K light.

The Design Story

Penta calls Je Suis a declaration of intent, with rich finishes and a beauty that goes beyond function. The glass sphere is half white and half silver, so it reads like a silvery full moon resting on a solid base. Turn it on and the white half glows while the mirrored half reflects the room, which gives the lamp a different face from every angle. Penta designs and makes its lamps by hand in Brianza, Italy.

The Designer

Carlo Colombo is one of the best-known Italian architects and designers on the international scene. The marble base is cool and pale, while the oak bases bring warmth and grain, in either a natural or a deep anthracite tone. It stands 23.6 in (60 cm) tall and 13.8 in (35 cm) across, so it works as a statement piece rather than a background lamp. The 17.5W LED gives you a choice of 3000K or 2700K light.

Made for Real Life

The 17.5W LED is built in, so there is no bulb to buy or change. A dimmer sits on the cable, so you can set the mood from the lamp itself. Because the base is solid stone or wood, the lamp is heavy and stable on a console, sideboard or bedside table.
