Broberg & Ridderstråle turned each Apollo from a solid piece of aluminum on a lathe. Two cones balance point to point like a spinning gyroscope, and when the designers saw the first silhouette, it reminded them of the rocket engines on the Apollo spacecraft, which settled the name.

Why You’ll Love It

Small things done perfectly: the machining, the weight in your hand, the crisp edge of light it casts.
