About Harri Koskinen
Harri Koskinen runs his company Friends of Industry, designing everything from furniture, glassware and textiles, to watches, loudspeakers, houses and the Finlandia Vodka bottle. He has been awarded with some of the world’s most prestigious design awards, including Compasso d’Oro in 2004, the Pro Finlandia Award in 2007, and The Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Award in 2009. The chairman of the Söderberg-jury noted that Harri Koskinens vast production has a unique, austere and consistent idiom, with a clear Nordic foundation based on functionality, simplicity and a careful selection of materials; design with timeless appeal. He also noted that Harri is an internationally renowned designer who, despite his young age, is perhaps Finland’s greatest contemporary designer, and whose design is a perfect combination of tradition and renewal.
